Yes, I can also lend assistance here I have hundreds of users using wingate successfully. As I said before. Each solution has its advantages. Without knowing what the target user wants to do. Speficially which applications he wants to use and their ability to support proxy/socks its hard to make a good recommendation.

Keep your system as simple as possible to start with. You can start with a 2 computer network and easily expand it to a 4 to 6 computer network. All of the hardware, except maybe a crossover cable, you buy for a 2 computer network will be useable with 4 or 6 computer network.
One of the ways you can keep it simple is to is to go WebrampM3i even though it costs more.
