Some comments from today's wsj should get a rebound for psft.

Shares of SAP and PeopleSoft have been strong performers since the start
of this year, with SAP rising about 80% and PeopleSoft gaining 29%.
Baan had also been a highflier, but in April investors punished the stock
after it reported weaker-than-expected earnings that raised questions
about the company's accounting practices.

Despite SAP's statement Friday, however, analysts were generally
sanguine about the state of the industry. They pointed to SAP's expected
60% revenue growth, which is stronger than anticipated.

Observers said that given the economic problems in Asia, 60% revenue
growth indicates that demand for SAP products is very strong in Europe
and North America. That should be particularly good news for
PeopleSoft, which has a much smaller exposure to the Asian market than
its bigger competitor.

"From a fundamental perspective, I don't
know if [the declines] are merited," said
Brian Skiba, an analyst at Lehman Brothers.
"I think what we're seeing is that there is
very strong demand for the product in the
marketplace. Despite Asian contraction
[SAP was] able to grow 60% for the half.
That means that their North American
business has to be extraordinary -- and
that's got to be positive for PeopleSoft."
