Note that no reason for his departure was given in the press release. I think if Hansen had any pending problems with the lawsuits, his departure would have been couched in terms of leaving to "pursue personal interests", "spend more time with his family" etc. and that he wouldn't have had a new, essentially equivalent, position nailed down when he left. What company would want to hire a VP/CFO if it thought he had a serious cloud over his head from his former firm?

I think Mr. Hansen's departure stems from one of two causes: either he wants out before more bad news hits us, or he was squeezed out for being at fault or as a scapegoat for mismanaging analyst guidance. I really hope it was the latter.
