Misuse of apostrophes is a burr under my saddle.

In a related gripe, I have a former co-worker (avoid ex-co-worker?) whose (not who's) mission it is to educate the masses that the post WWII president was not "Harry S. Truman", but "Harry S Truman" (no period) as his middle name was indeed "S". I point out to him that yes, but his initial would then be "S." now, wouldn't it?

These things get misused a lot (not "alot", ever!).
