>>I can't understand why the American people sit on their rear ends and don't care.
The economy is good, people are working, we're at peace, no American boys are dying on foreign soil, we keep getting more TV channels to watch, good movies are coming out to occupy our idle time, Clinton is a good old boy who is pleasant to watch and listen to if you don't think too much about what he is saying, the White House has superbly positioned this whole matter as an issue of whether Clinton and Lewinisky had voluntary ses. Why should the average American get all hot and bothered about political minutia when their lives are happy and meat for the weekend barbeque in the back yard is cheap? It's said all politics is local. In fact, all politics is really in the individual's homelife. Clinton knows well, keep the home life happy and most people won't give a rats ass what's going on in the Washington swamp (literally and figuratively). Besides, honestly -- which would YOU rather have as your father figure -- Clinton, Gingrich, or Starr? Now if we had Reagan back ... but if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. |
