Dr. Z... I am beginning to sense the following about PSFT.....

I think this company and stock is settling into a more sedate (I guess it is better than that) growth pattern. It has come about a year earlier than I had hoped, but I wonder if we have seen the end already of the tremendous growth rates and we will now see a more labored climb in months and years ahead. At the same time, those investors looking for the latest high flyer or hot hot stock have moved on so there is not the same demand pressure in the market for acquiring this stock.

Let's face it, there is general published acknowledgement that a good part of recent years' gains in stocks and mutual funds (esp. these) are because of baby boomers pouring cash into the markets and buying.
We all know what happens in the seesaw of supply and demand as demand rises. Well, I wonder if a bunch of that money and demand has drifted elsewhere over the past 6 months or more to Internet stocks and other newer high flyers.

PSFT may becoming just another steady tech stock that will become boring and predictable - not to say it won't continue to improve investors' net worth, but the glory days may be behind us.

I also wonder if this October will see the first time in many years that PSFT will not elect to split the stock.

Please, no one ask me to back this up with any specific research or information from any one source. It is simply a gut feeling based on a compendium of information, events, current situation, etc, etc. And, no, I wasn't reading any charts or tea leaves.

Comments from anyone are always welcome.

(Maybe I am in more of a negative mood because our Canadian buck - no wonder they call it the 'Loonie' - is totally in the dumper against your US almighty dollar. I am sure glad I have significant US investment, even if it is not rising exponentially).

Honestly, I am afraid this is more realistic than pessimistic. Someone tell me - convince me - I am wrong!!! Anybody!!!!

And another thing ... some have posted here about PSFT big shots selling stock. Maybe they all decided to buy Yahoo.

TTFN (to coin a phrase..)
