CC = Conference Call.

The company did state that Asian pressures did have an effect on new software sales, but that it was mostly offset by the "tremendous growth" in consulting.

If you read the press release, you got one thing. If you listened to the conference call, you got another, because the people asking questions were all over them, and they did a poor job of answering. It was shocking, because they are usually very sharp and polished. That is the reason for the stock drop--the drop in software sales, and the fact that they blamed Asia (partially), and tried to emphasize that the consulting would offset any Asian problems.

That was the first time I even considered Asia affecting PSFT. Bad move on their part. Should have kept quiet.
