Onsale could also easily auction off books if wanted (depends on potential margin). I can picture it now 30lbs worth of last year's best sellers Place your bid! -Change name to "OnSale.com" ? I don't think Onsale has done enough to really promote itself as an "Intenet company" To the average person on the street, the company name "Onsale" doesn't mean anything, (what is on sale and where do I find it?) but add ".com" to the end and it becomes obvious that the company is internet based - Amazon.com, egghead.com, ebay, e-trade, etc. A simple name change should be good for a few points in this crazy market. -More marketing! They also need to advertise on radio and at least cable. Nothing fancy or expensive - top 3 internet markets, MTV, CNN and Discovery Channel should cover all their targets and create a positive buzz about about the company. Just my 2 cents.
