Baan shares edged higher Monday morning after Fiat said it extended its
agreement with the business software maker. The software will be used by
about 2,000 Fiat employee as the Italian car makerÿexpands operations
across the globe.

Netherlands-based Baan (BAANF) is scheduled to report earnings later
this week, with analysts expecting a profit of 11 cents per share on
sales of $225 million. Baan shares have been under pressure in recent
months amid concerns over the way the company books its sales and uses
affiliated companies to sell its software, which allows business to keep
track various business functions. The stock added 1/16 to 38 3/16, just
10 points above its 52-week low.
