Thanks Julius, I knew there was a reason I stopped taking math classes! Just couldn't remember what it was! :-)

I would guess that a high fractal value would reflect a better AIM stock, and wouldn't have to relate to market averages like BETA does. Value Line uses a statistic called Stock Price Stability, but I don't know how it's calculated. I'll check next time I'm at the library. Maybe it's a similar measure to Fractals.
