AIM is a sampled data control systems It has 2 modes: Tracking and Trading. You can also precalculate the buy/sell points. AIM can recommend buy/sell but if you do not take any action then it is just tracking--makes you a spectator. Tracking shows you only how it got from A to B(price range). The portfolio control serves as a refererence point and only updated after a buy.
