Betty,
You make a very good point. Contrary to Darren's claim, Linda Tripp was simply defending herself by taping Monica's conversations. She did not want to be part of any conspiracy to suppress the truth. Remember, Monica wanted Linda Tripp's support for the manufactured lies which she intended to use in the depositions being taken during the Paula Jones suit. Linda Tripp did not ask to be a part of this conspiracy. It was thrust upon her. She told Monica that she would not lie for her during the depositions. In order to defend herself, she taped the conversations for support of her argument.

Now, we have the Clintonistas spin (and Darren, who has bought the spin, hook, line and sinker) vilifying her unjustly. For instance, the act of the Clintonistas possessing her FBI file is criminal. Then, we have the release of information pertaining to her personnel records. In an ethical administration, the individuals responsible for the release of her personnel information would have been fired. Next, the Maryland GJ investigation, using questionable grounds for action, could be construed as obstruction of justice. But, since this is supposed to be to the "most ethical administration in history", what else would we expect?

Darrell
