She's a famous heroine. She should be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

There is ample precedent. The liberal extremists cannot win in debating issues, so they vilify. That is their standard operating procedure.

They vilified the extremely intelligent editor of Time who thrust himself into the public by fingering Alger Hiss, top aide to FDR, as a communist spy. (Hiss was there when FDR ridiculed Churchill and assigned to "Uncle Joe" Stalin the fate of eastern Europeans).

Anyway, Chambers was subject to the most vicious attacks and obloquy by the Liberal Establishment. He lost his top job at Time and died relatively young, though he had a loving wife and family. Hiss was convicted and disbarred then readmitted in Massachusetts (where else). Every historian of note has concluded that Chambers was right and recent evidence from the former Soviet bloc has proven it. (There was one day when the US media exonerated Hiss but retracted it the next day when the Soviet General said he had no knowledge that exonerated Hiss). Hiss's wife left him and he lived a long bitter life, sticking to his lies til the day he died.

Whittaker Chamber's victory is that his side, the US won and that "Alger Hiss" is synonymous with traitor. Chambers was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom and his farm was placed in the national register of historic places.
