JFT said *yesterday*: I just sold this dog at $11.00 now watch it gets bought out tomorrow. Tony's post scared my out when he said Intel's is using Symbio's technology in their newest chip. Intel own more then 70% of the market I believe for all products. So if intel is more then 70% of the market then adpt is 70% less, and their is no way adpt will turn around. And I ain't waiting for some new products that may or may not happen. Just wish Dell would not open up two points every morning Frigging instinet.
Brilliant, JFT, just brilliant. So, you're out of ADPT in a loss position at 11; I assume you took the guaranteed quick profits you mentioned by getting into, what was it, DELL? Lemme guess, you diversified a bit by buying some SBUX yesterday too, right?
Sorry to seem so harsh, but the gibberish must not go unrebutted. INTC is not using Symbios' technology in their newest chip. They're using a Symbios controller in a multiprocessor Xeon (sp?) server design. Nice win for Symbios, but controller boards can be swapped.
If INTC is "70% of the market" (what market? processors, motherboards, PCs?), how does that make ADPT "70% less". 70% less of WHAT?
You said you can't wait for new products that may or may not happen. Techs ARE new products; they happen or companies die. ADPT is not dying.
Then, the capper, from your message #3211:
I for one do not know what the heck Adaptec sells or how many competitors it has. I am mainly a fundamentalist who hope Adpt will return to their glory days. The only hope I have now clinged on to insider's buying lightly and open interest in options favor Adapt going up more then going down.
How can you be a "fundamentalist" and have no idea of what ADPT does for a living or who it competes against? Are you sure you should be in this game at all? You can buy T-bills or (God forbid) savings bonds lots of places. Just be careful; your statements are saying to me that you're ripe to lose a LOT of money using the "strategies" you're using now.
Or are you really Warren Buffett, just joking with us? |
