As I read the report from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Housing, the Government didn't say that Affordable Housing didn't exist, they only said that they were not authorized to issue mortgages. This latest e-mail letter, in my reading of it makes no mention of their licensing to let mortgages. So to a large degree, it is just confirmation of what had already been known and previously stated by the government. Someone mentioned Dragonfire's posts on Raging Bull. Here is his first post that still seems consistent with facts that have been uncovered to date as far as I can see. ragingbull.com
