Another way of dealing with such "trading range" situations is to buy a bunch of shares at .86, and sell half when it gets to $1. Then when it retraces to .86, buy a bunch more, again selling half at the top.


It's a way of keeping one's average price low, participating in short-term trading profit potential, and being in the market to some degree at all times in case the stock bursts out.


As with any trading system, this often is easier to describe than it is to execute. Hind sight often is very beneficial <grin>.
