larry,
Melissa and Chuzz no doubt have opinions here also.... as Im sure you are aware the entire enterprise sw sector is out of favor due to y2k and maybe some saturation etc. So at this very moment there is not much activity in the stock. However, if you like software then you have to like the enterprise space long term so its just a question of picking the winners. IMO the whole industry is converging around sebl, psft and sap. Im not a big Sap fan myself because I dont like the technical architecture of their product and (compared to psft) the management doesnt seem to have as much vision. The psft mgmt is superb in terms of vision - this is based on their recent acquisitions. So, imo psft will gain on Saps mkt share. Even if that doesnt happen though, psft will still gain on the existing Oracle and JDE installations.

Actually I think Sebl probably offers the most upside potential right now at this moment but psft is #2. Long term, who knows.
