I'd say he had some associates that need to move some share before the eBay IPO came out. That, or they plan on doing a reverse split. Unfortunately ole' Staggard Lee was about six months too soon in his prediction of a slide. Since he hasn't been around I'm guess he lost patience on the short side. I did the same thing with AMAT last year at 68, oh well another good lesson about trusting your instincts and being patient. I haven't checked the short interest out on AMZN lately, but notice Datek has had no shares for a few days. Finally, the shorts that endured the pain will be rewarded.
