<if all you can trade is onesie, twosie, then don't trade. the floor will go with a 5-10-15 etc size over a 1 lot. trade in increments of 5 lots or don't trade.>

<trade only in the early morning and middle to late afternoon. wild days chop during the middle session in thin, volatile trade.>

<use globex for entries and exits if you're gunshy. globex is tamer than the pit on days like today. remember that globex doesn't take market orders. >

This fellow defeats his own remarks with his next one

<you know what they say about ASSumptions. >

And, along with his other assumptions, Globex loves market orders. It's STOP orders they have a problem with, not Market orders. People like this do not have the facts.

EDIT I am on a similar list to OMEGA. I stopped posting there, because although some well-known traders posted there it has become populated with people who are similar to the novice you referenced above. Most ignore such posts. Such a post id based on presumptions and not fact. Many trade quite successfully using small lots, Globex has wild swings, Some days have better entries in the middle brackets (you can check your own data on this).

This is this fellow's experience. He may be a mad dog. His advice is a bit extreme. Why don't you just do what you are doing and learn for yourself. Just my thought on the matter.
