The President of a major national chicken company met with the Pope and asked him if he would be willing to change the Lord's Prayer for $5 million. The Pope asked what the change was, and the President of the chicken company said "can you change the daily bread to the daily chicken". The Pope said "That's ridiculous. Get out of my office immediately". A few weeks later, the President of the chicken company called the Pope again and raised his offer to $50 million. The Pope again scoffed at the idea and hung up on the President of the chicken company. A few months later, the President of the chicken company went to visit the Pope to present one final offer. This time he offered $5 billion if the Pope would change the daily bread to the daily chicken. The Pope said, "That's a lot of money. Let me talk it over with the Cardinals and I will get back with you." The Pope called a special meeting with the Cardinals and said "I have good news and bad news. The good news is that we can make $5 billion if we change the Lord's prayer from daily bread to daily chicken. The bad news is that we will lose the Wonder Bread account."
