If I'm not mistaken, I recall that "delighted" wasn't the word used by Tripp. I thought it was "excited". Willey stated she was flustered and excited at such an unexpected advance by the president. I could be wrong, but I don't believe Tripp's account impeaches what Willey said on 60 Minutes. Also, Willey said she sent him polite notes after the encounter because she was still seeking a government job.
