I read a post this am somewhere that hedge funds were buying futures overnight to prop up the market so they can sell into it. If that is the case, and if that is "common" knowledge at the desk, then maybe they are expecting the worst to come today. Also, I trust there were a lot of out-trades yesterday and maybe they are getting screwed on those....but why would that affect the guys at the desk?

I am not sure, but it is an interesting observation. If you come up with anything let us know.

Would now be a good time for me to call them and chit-chat so they can get to know me a bit, you know set up an account, mail paper-work, the standard stuff? <<gg>>
