Tom, I heard an interesting comment on CNBC this morning. One prognosticator indicated that if you subtracted out the top 50 stocks from the S&P 500, the p/e ratio would be around 14. Now I own some of those top 50 stocks so I'll not be happy to see those go to p/e's of 14, but I think it illustrates the separation between the top tier stocks and the also rans. This market is making me queasy with these 100 point swings in 30 minute intervals, but I guess I shouldn't complain. It is still better than yesterday afternoon's fall off the cliff. ---- Dave
