What Topic is Off Topic? Could someone please provide an additional definition of the subject for this thread in such a way that it will be CLEAR to all what is reasonably on topic and what is not?

The thread subject header says:
"The purpose of this thread is very simple: To monitor/analyze those factors affecting the price of gold, long-term, short-term, and in-between, and to determine where we currently stand in relation to those factors. Comments on the rest of the precious metals complex are also encouraged, as is technical analyses. Please do not seek or give recommendations or advice on individual stocks."

Given the definition provided by the originator of this thread, it seems pretty inclusive, except for the caveat not to tout stocks here. I'm no expert, but I heard it reported that the potential impeachment of the president might be among, "those factors affecting the price of gold."

Where do we properly draw the line? Perhaps someone could point out what should be considered instructive examples of off topic posts.

And, perhaps someone could point out an example of exemplary discourse and post it here:
