(OTC BB: MVEE), today announced that it has completed filming of its second film, "Delta Force One."
The Company's first film, "Speedway Junky," completed filming on August 18, 1998. Both films are now in post-production and will be shown at the Milan Film Festival next month in Milan, Italy.
"Delta Force One" is part of the "Delta Force" series which originally starred action star Chuck Norris and which was created by the Golan/Globus team. "Delta Force One" stars Mike Norris, Chuck's son, Gary Daniels, John Rhys-Davies, and Bentley Mitchum, the grandson of film legend Robert Mitchum. The film was shot on location in Israel.
The film is the story of a new generation of the Delta Force commando unit which is called into action by the U.S. government when a United Nations peacekeeping patrol is taken hostage by a powerful Middle East arms smuggler known only as "Ivan" (Rhys-Davies). Ivan has stockpiled an array of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction and intends to use the peacekeeping patrol as leverage to increase his power and prevent an attack by U.S. forces. The film's script was written by Peter Welbeck and was produced by Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus on behalf of Magic Entertainment. Commenting on the announcement, Menahem Golan, co-chairman of Magic Entertainment, stated, "We are pleased to note the film was completed on time and on budget, as was our previous film 'Speedway Junky.' Producing films on time and on budget is a key to our success and is an important part of our business strategy. We are confident that all our films will be completed in this manner."
Mr. Golan continued, "We are extremely excited about the potential for 'Delta Force One' as the prior films have built a loyal fan following. The name recognition of the 'Delta Force' series remains considerable. The original film was a tremendous success and based on the script, cast and production quality, we are confident 'Delta Force One' will follow in the footsteps of the original."
