SI Bob, a minor correction, but none the less an important one.

I said,

"It was I that contacted SI Bob and got his TERMINATION changed to a suspension."

This could be incorrectly interpreted as suggesting that I believe that I have power or control over SI Bob or anything else having to do with SI. Rest assured I do not believe that I have, nor do I want to have control over anyone or anything having to do with SI.

I should have said,

I contacted SI Bob and asked his TERMINATION be changed to a suspension.
Two of my public links are:
Message 5739406
Message 5743277 .

I apologize to SI Bob for my overstatement.
I believe I made the statement in the context of being accused of doing just the opposite.
That is, I felt like I and others were being accused of getting him terminated or that somehow we got him terminated.

I think it should be obvious to all that no one can get anyone terminated, just as I cannot get SI Bob to un-terminate them. However, I did do what I could, and that was to communicate my thoughts to SI Bob.

You said, "That implies that I'll take action or change an action because someone tells me I should. That's not the case."

I believe you are your own man. I don't think anyone should believe that you will take or change an action because someone or some thousand people tell you that you should. I think that is a good thing.

You go on to say, "I do so when I think I should."

This is as it should be. However, I think that statement might be misinterpreted by some. If one was so inclined, they might want to interpret your meaning to be that you disregard what others say and just do whatever you feel like. I believe that would be far from the truth. My experience to date has left me with the impression that you are a thoughtful person that will consider reasonable dialog from others. It does not mean that you will be swayed or bullied by anyone, just that you seem to give fair consideration to the reasonable arguments of others.

Again,
Regards,
