Actually, there was one more source of news today, but I thought I would not post it as I did not want to add more fuel to JIHAD's fire. On further examination, it seems that this "new" release is pretty much an exact restatement of the original PR put out by the ousted government. This story is on radio station LoveFM's web news site. They were apparently slow to getting around to repeating the old press release, or maybe just did not care until they needed a filler piece. Being a small country, it is obvious that news pieces spread by word of mouth from one journalist to the next. No surprise there. Read it at lovefm.com

As for the release today on Channel 5's site, I can't help but wonder that they do not say anything about their source for this. Notice the wording:

Authorities at the time denied such reports and issued a press release saying that no such arrangement existed. Now less than a month after elections, the new government has repeated the disclaimer of its predecessor

The new government has repeated the disclaimer? Repeated it so exactly in fact that it is the same PR that is STILL on the governments web site, among all the other left-overs from the old government!? Think about that, this is most likely TV 5's source. After scanning the gov. site, they see it is still there and viola!...the new government has repeated the disclaimer! TV 5 cites no real source. Could it be that a journalist at one station was scanning the governments web site, came across the old disclaimer on PanAm, and decided to run with it? Perhaps that night he/she had a beer with their old buddy from the other station, mentioning the story and later that week both stations are running versions of it. The radio station simply repeats it (must have had one too many the night before) while TV 5 actually does a little extra digging by calling Affordable Housing in Belize. I applaud them for at least this. TV 5 states that Joe Sanker of Affordable commented that.....

...there is indeed no agreement between his company and the government, that what they are involved in is the construction of homes in Belize, primarily for Belize Americans. Sanker said that if you own land here his company will import a high quality manufactured home from the U.S. to your specifications, and erect it on your lot... and that, he is working on an arrangement under which
Belize Americans who qualify would be able to receive mortgage financing from Pan American Bancorp in the United States

So, it appears that the original PR by PanAmerican stating they had a mortgage deal in Belize was most likely correct based on the fact that the company responsible for the mortgaging in Belize is Alpha's National Building Society, located in Belize, and which Affordable Housing is a major shareholder. Stateside, it looks like PanAmerican will be handling the mortgages for Belize/Americans. At worst it would seem that the claim in PRWT's PR about mortgaging in Belize should have included the fact that it is through an agreement with Alpha, and this should indeed be clarified. So, regardless of PR mistakes made, the houses appear to be going up, and the business moving forward. We can only hope that all these issues are finally put to rest next week at the shareholder's meeting, and in my opinion they will be. With all that said, it is all my opinion only. Regards to all shareholders,

BTW, Realty Money Center is licensed in 16(#?) states, they do not have offices in those states. The few offices they have are all in Nevada (according to Dave of RMC last time I talked to him).
