yeah, isn't it great that since the merger is complete we don't have to pretend that we don't own a huge part of the global network.
...Since the combined company has its own local and long distance facilities, it does not have to rely on incumbent phone monopolies to carry part of its voice and data traffic.... The merged MCI WorldCom, however, can now keep traffic on its own network the whole time and keep all the revenue....
