Not a buy above the ask. Trade went at ask 30 minutes ago...20 minutes later the ask dropped. I agree wholly with Leroyt. This is not MM games. It is the temporary drying up of buying. They will lower their spreads until they meet a level where there is some activity.

All this "oh they dropped the ask on a buy" manipulation crying is garbage. Doesn't matter what the "last" trade was. It matters what is pending out there. If there is no buying pressure behind it, they may well drop the ask. Remember the MM's all compete with one another to make trades. If the ask is .55, a buy goes through at the ask and the ask drops...that's usually not the same MM that drops the ask but another one that wants to sell too and to get in the market, he must beat the current best ask...

Funny how no one cried manipulation on the way up?
