For those that are considering investing in the smaller ECM'S ,their are two important aspects to watch out for ,1 who are their customers ? 2 could they lose, one to a world wide ecm ,like ACT lost 3com to slr and jbl,if competition forces the small ecm to manufactor for a oem thats losing market share to say dell or csco that spells trouble ,in any case ,the smaller ecm better be able to buy, the most productive equipment on earth or that spells profitless.Lets think about what the regional ECM has to offer, mostly overflow manufactoring, better yet what it is, they can't offer should be the deciding factor for investment.
Futher their will be lots of new smaller players in the future as the oem's sell off their remaining manufactoring plants, they will last as long as their three year contracts take them.jmho patroller
