I talked to Mackie's investor relations today and was told that
nothing new has actually shipped yet: the new amps, the new
speaker monitors, nor the 40*8. She said there was still a
chance it would ship before the end of the year, but I personally
doubt it as we are basically AT the end of the year!

So, one could probably expect a pretty grim 4th qtr for Mackie.
I wouldn't be surprised if the stock drops to 4 1/2 to 5 over the
next 3 months. One hopes that 1Q 97 will have good news.
