Anyone else following this stock? Mackie Designs makes pro audio gear for the recording, broadcast, and production industries. It had an IPO in 1995. Lately its stock has hung around $9-$10 a share. It looks like Mackie will do $80M or more in sales for FY96. This company has a sterling reputation, huge loyal following among customers, great image, and keeps winning awards (INC Magazine gave Greg Mackie one of the Entrepreneur of the Year awards recently). If you check out their EDGAR filings and read their annual report, the numbers look pretty interesting. Mackie is expanding into new markets this year, both automation software for audio production as well as speaker monitors and amps and other pro gear. The revenues don't really reflect these new markets yet. The stock has got to be one of the sleepiest on NASDAQ. A busy day lately is about 7000 shares traded, but then, this is NASDAQ so how many shares that actually is is probably even a smaller number than that. I would be interested in hearing opinions about this stock. I personally own some, and lately have considered buying more. Thanks and I look forward to reading any responses. -- brian | ||||||||||||||
