Tom,

A long time ago, I was once caught short the lumber
market when it went limit up for days at a time.
The thing was, I kept shorting more thinking I'd
make it up when it sold off. Before it was all
over I was chopped liver. I was scared to death
and one day it traded and I closed out all my
positions at limit up. It was awful. Anyway, the
day I cover all my short positions, the market sold
off and it was limit down for a week. I thought
for sure that God hated me.

I'm long SP's today, but it could have gone down
the same amount and in the same way instead. It is
a frightening thought and, in all my rejoicing, I
really am humbled by this as well. Sorry for
rambling a bit, but days like today don't happen
all the time, and I'm glad of that too.

Have a good evening.
