I'll give that a shot Fred.

I'm a bit reluctant to look at other stuff, to tell the truth. About 6 months ago I mentioned on TSO that the BKX was a leading indicator but it's only now that is accepted and yet the cycle is rotating to the NDX, I am sure. Look at intraday activity late today. The NDX dragged the market up late.

Anyway, as I said on TSO last late Spring, early Summer the Banks would decide the market then and now the NDX will decide the market. I'm sure that 6 months from now the hot topic will be what the NDX is doing while we move into something else.

At this point in time I'm posturing myself out of the mainstream. I don't necessarily think you guys are wrong but I have my own ideas on how to trade the market. I think perhaps I need a rest.

Anyway I'm not daytrading. Maybe after the seminar I am going to in Dallas I shall. But for now I'm on the side lines except for system-tests.

EDIT Just went thru the TSO posts on the Bank Index from Philly. Seems Don Sew targeted the Banks as the indicator of choice, not I.

Whatever. I'm still loath to think it's the proper thing to think of now.

Anyway, I'm a bit away from the A/D line and whatnot. I have a few things that will occupy my time on a daily basis for mechanical trading and I have to work on that stuff. Good luck, as I really have to get this knocked in the meanwhile.
