George Gilder on L M Ericsson, pasted here:

"My read is that Ericsson has capitulated on CDMA for the next generation of GSM, and is now issuing squidlike plumes of ink. Qualcomm, by contrast, is issuing a series of fabulous new technologies such as the pdQ phone and the 2 megabit wireless modem."

George Gilder on Y2K. It makes sense to me. Including big sales next year of systems. Maybe the big sales will include mobile telecoms networks, as companies ensure they don't go bust over some silly computer glitch.

Incidentally, some of you might have missed Tony Blair [UK Prime Minister for American readers] saying "...he stands ready to call a summit of the G7 countries to coordinate a response to the global financial crisis and discuss aid for Russia."

It seems to me that the crisis is over, thanks to Alan Green$pan and the Japanese government. Too late Tony!
