Since last Winter my concern has been that the global economies have been heading towards a deflationary environment. Whether or not this line of thought has been correct and whether or not the recent pullback in the financial markets have been enough to offset problems leaves me uncertain as to the proper stance one should take with respect to the near future. Perhaps you are right. For my own part I'm not as confident the markets' direction will continue to be down from the July peaks.
