You are absolutely right about that

I was looking to sell it at the 89-90 level -- I think that was what I said and my stop would have been at the 93-94 level -- so it is entirely likely that I would have been stopped out.

The funny thing is that during the second run up when it got to 93+ and it came down, I wanted to short it at about the 90+ level and did not do so. Finally got a few points when it broke 85.

I don't want to give anyone the impression that these gap trades are any sort of magic bullet -- in fact I brought it up in response to a post from Scott when the market began to slide. But in future when you see me attempting one of these -- you'll at least know that there is some method behind the madness!!
