The bond position has fared well so far and so has my currency position

Trading several markets helps to keep the draw-downs within reasonable levels because it is rare for me to be hit on all of the markets at the same time.

There was a time that I also had positions in the grains, livestock, metals and fibers -- all going at the same time. Same objective --- diversification with a view to spreading risk and all of them traded on the same system. It was just difficult to keep a tab on all of it so I pared it down and nowadays I trade these other markets only when there is a clear trend in evidence. When I used to trade all of these markets, I'd have fills reported to me every day because something or the other would reverse. My tax returns were like a phone book--as you can imagine.
