Small caps roared back in 1991. Maybe we'll get one of those rallies again.

Remember that mutual funds have an October 31st window to sell stocks for a loss. I'm not sure if they are subject to a "wash rule" situation, but you could see a considerable increase in stocks that were savaged in the last decline in early October and are now not subject to the "selling pressure" from the funds.

This should favor the more illiquid thinly traded tech stocks as well as other small stocks.

For example from my own portfolio:

ASYT - +100% since 10/9/98
GALTF - +95% since 10/8/98
PMCS - +60% since 10/9/98
TXCC - +73% since 10/6/98
JBL - +100% since 8/31/98

Perhaps we can get the "January effect" on November this year.
