big volume for MCI Worldcom

MCI Worldcom tops PCX volume

MCI Worldcom (WCOM) jumped into an usual position as the most-active option
contract on the Pacific Exchange. About 20,000 contracts of the November 50
calls (LDQ=KJ) traded. The volume was nearly four times heavier that the
second-place option, which belonged to Well Fargo.

"It was a customer repurchasing," a trader at the Pacific Exchange said. Shares in
the telecom giant have risen nearly 50 percent so far this month, closing up 2 at 57
7/16 on Wednesday.
