McMillan's oscillator is at the second highest level in it's history.

He says the other times it came within reach of this level once there was a further 500 point upward move afterwards (June '97)and the other two times were during existing heavy rallies (Januaries of '76 and '91) both of which went on to sideways movement for nearly a year. The one in '76 eventually gave way to a bear market and the one in '91 to a bull market.

From the SuperTraders Almanac, November First to May First has been the best time of the year to own stocks in this century. During this period the Dow has gained 7371.9 cumulative points over a 47 year period.

Fun stuff for the trivia buff to know.
