Nextel was MCI's wireless partner about 5 years ago and they lost a bundle of $$$$ extricating themselves from that partnership. While Nextel has certainly executed well since then--proving that their idea was not pie-in-the-sky--they still lose big bucks. A deal with them would almost certainly be dilutive. Bad idea, if true.
