>>Due to the fact the existing trade was a compleat accident of nature and is over 20 points profitable I'm going to accept the risk with regard to that position<<

Shows that it's probably as important to be lucky as to be good

I feel rather paralyzed in terms of being able to put on a trade; it does not go down enough that I feel comfortable going long and it is too strong to short.

>>Did you ever imagine this thread would have 8,000 posts in less than 6 months?<<

Not in my wildest dreams -- I started this thread over two years ago when I used to frequent the TSO thread and it was almost dormant, in part because the subject matter, as originally conceived was so narrow. If you recall, we started posting here because we did not want to clutter the TSO thead with futures related stuff. The interesting thing is that it did not even appear in the "most book-marked list" of threads that was posted a few days ago though it regularly appears in the "hot list" of threads -- so quite obviously it is not a subject matter that is of interest to most SI members -- namely the trading of futures and index options.

Sorry that you are having problems accessing SI today -- it is very frustrating when it happens. I am having no problems today -- and yet on other days it takes me for ever to get from post to post and then when that "squid" message comes through it is is just adding insult to injury.

Looks like a short may be lining up -- or may be a sell-off to go long
