I dont like to short anything, because one big mistake can take
out a number of small gains, and I would never know if there are
money on my account - two firms suddenly getting bought out the
same day or something horrible. I could get myself to buy lots
of puts though, so that I can only loose those. Like the atomic
power people say, risk equals the chance that it goes wrong,
times the consequence if it does. So thefore since the chance
is very small, it is safe.
