Thieves Clean Out Police Headquarters Wednesday November 11 11:08 AM ET dailynews.yahoo.com SAN SALVADOR (Reuters) - Red-faced police in El Salvador promised Tuesday to hunt down thieves who cleaned out computers and other equipment from inside the criminal investigation headquarters. ''The crime is all the more serious because these things were stolen in a police headquarters,'' said police chief Rodrigo Avila. ''We have issued orders that they dig deeper and that they make the maximum effort (to catch the culprits),'' Avila added. Police have not ruled out an inside job in the theft, which took place Monday.
