The difficulty in recognizing your foes and friends in stock market is that they are the same people. In order for the stock to move in your direction, others have to feel about the same as you do. When they do, they are your friends. These same people eventually decide to close their position. If you are not in agreement then, then they are your foes. A better assessment is done when you ask: What are my weaknesses and what are my strengths? What kind of stock am I buying and what kind of people are attracted to that stock? Then the question becomes, what are the weaknesses and strengths of those people and how do the operate. And finally you need to answer, am I in harmony with the other participants. This is the key.
