11/20 20:03 Class action suit filed against MCI <WCOM.O>
PENSACOLA, Fla., Nov 20 (Reuters) - Attorneys said Friday that a national class-action lawsuit against MCI WorldCom Inc. was filed on Thursday, nine days after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ordered MCI to stop charging "non-subscriber" rates for direct-dialed long distance calls, according to the law firm of Levin, Middlebrooks, P.A.
"The class-action lawsuit has been filed to vindicate the rights of all MCI customers who may have been overcharged," Mike Papantonio, an attorney handling the case, said in a statement.
MCI WorldCom was not immediately available for comment. |
