S&P 500 futures Range Extension Rectangle, a classic "hard low"
put in early. Screen shots from today at www.scanshift.com, under daily shots, 1 December 1998, reflect the importance of having an aggressive scan of secondary items to get a feel for Range Extension. The spokes started to all uptick hard when the S&P's were in the hole, and with a tight range, something had to give, and it was the high. With spoke activity improving throughout the session, we continued positive upward range extension.
