The futures are now down a bit Re Schwab, I guess that you and I are the only ones who think that they are not all bad -- most people seem to be drawn to the deep discount brokers and don't realize that they could lose a lot more on questionable executions. I had the most extra-ordinary thing happen to me on Monday -- I had a limit order to go long a small number of calls on one of the internuts -- I placed the order to buy it at 8 and it got filled at 3 3/4, the low for the day for that strike. I assumed that it happened because there was down-draft on the price of the stock but to have been filled at over 4 points better than what I entered the order at seemed unbelievable to me. I never asked them about it -- and have been keeping an eye on the transaction history to see if they decide to change the price on me.
