To each his /her own.

However, I think you may be comparing different industries. Retailing,
be it Amazon, WalMart, etc. is indeed a fairly low margin business.

However, IMO, a fairer comparison for Doubleclick would be an ad
agency Like Saatchi & Saatchi or one of the other major corporate
marketing agencies.

While traditional product retailers must invest in plant property
& equipment at thousands of locations..(look at how many Home Depot's
there are), an advertiser has no such expense. As long as there is
a retailer wanting to sell anything, there will be a demand for advertising.

Just my opinion.
